Mindfulness practice gives us the gift of coming back to the present moment in all its fullness. On this Mindfulness Yoga day you will experience a variety of mindful meditations including: mindfulness of body and breath, mindfulness of feelings, mountain meditation, and the body scan practice. The meditation practices will be interspersed with mindful and meditative yoga sessions.
The day will give you a chance to relax and nurture yourself. The Mindful Yoga practices and meditations will encourage self-discovery, openesss, curiosity, and cultivating compassion and kindness toward ourselves and others.
The day would be a good way to start a Mindfulness practice or a way to deepen and develop your existing meditation practice. Advice will be given on developing your own Mindfulness Yoga practice.
This course would be suitable for students of all levels, although not complete beginners.
Please bring: your yoga mat, blocks if used (chairs will be available), a warm blanket, and slim cushion (If used) for relaxation; pen and paper; a packed lunch. Hot drinks and biscuits will be provided by tutor.
