Take advantage of the Easter break, to come along to these two specially extended Yoga Classes for students all across Shropshire and beyond.
The theme for these two exclusive classes is opening and extending the hips. We’ll be using the extra time well by steadily working towards Eka Pada Rajakapotasana (King pigeon pose) and Hanumanasana (the monkey pose, or the spilts). Don’t let these advanced sounding postures put you off. The classes are taught progressively and you are encouraged to work at your own level – working towards the postures at your own pace. You will:
- Understand the principles of progression towards these two postures including how you can prepare for the postures physically
- Receive handouts so that you can continue your practice at home
- Develop awareness of whole body alignment in the postures so that you achieve your posture or progression towards the posture in a balanced way that respects your body as well as the posture.
Classes are open to all levels and all abilities.
In addition to the posture work, we will be completing the practice with pranayama, concentration and meditation related to the theme of progression and achievement.
