TYP – Today’s Yoga Practice
Every so often I thought I would note down my Yoga Practice – partly to keep me motivated and to find out from you what you have done!
I have just done about 55 minutes of asana practise consisting of the following:
- Agni Namaskar from Surf Yoga Soul– I did the first three rounds of 36 press ups as full press ups, the second three rounds of 36 as modified press ups (I hurt my back yesterday so I didn’t want to over do it) and the third three rounds as modified triceps press ups – with my hands together, thumbs and finger tips touching to make a heart shape.
- Core strengthening – 20 standard crunches; 20 crunches left shoulder to right knee, 20 crunches right shoulder to left knee; 20 leg/hip lifts; 20 standard crunches with legs in Baddha Konasana (Bound angle)…these were HARD!
- Flexibility flow from Surf Yoga Soul – with extended time in Eka pada rajapotasana (Pigeon pose) and Paschimottanasana (Seated forward bend). I included Janu sirsasana as well as the revolved Janu Sirsasana in the practice.
- I rounded off the asana practice with Salamba sarvangasana (supported shoulder stand) and Halasana (Plough) and finally Savasana (Corpse).
Jnana (Wisdom) Yoga wise I have spent two hours investigating other Yoga blogs for knowledge and for a future item for this blog.
